Brazilian Lattes CV

Welcome! I am an Associate Professor in the Computer Science department at Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. I obtained my B.S. degree in Computer Engineering in 2007 from Dom Bosco Catholic University, my M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of São Paulo, in 2010 and 2016, respectively. My main research interests are image analysis and computer vision with focus on texture analysis, complex networks and deep learning methods. My research has lately been focused on the application of computational methods bridging precision agriculture and ecology.

I have collaborated with the group INOVISAO - Computer Vision Research Group and with EMBRAPA Beef Cattle - Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation. I am currently taking part in the Research Network of Agritechnology between Brazil and the UK.

Since 2014 I have been working with IPE, Institute for Ecological Research, and EMBRAPA Pantanal to develope approaches aiming at monitoring endangered animal species and their interaction in regions with power plant dams and in regions of the Pantanal biome with intensive agricultural activities.
